Twenty-five years ago, Royal LePage made a unanimous decision: their charitable efforts would go toward helping women and children find safety from domestic abuse. That decision created the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation — and it's been changing lives ever since.
The Foundation is Canada's largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women's shelters and violence prevention programs. Royal LePage covers all administrative costs, meaning every dollar donated goes directly to the cause — local women's shelters and national partners working to end domestic violence.
Through commission donations, local fundraising events, and volunteer time, Royal LePage agents across Canada raise money that stays in their own communities — funding the shelters that serve their neighbours.
The Reality in Canada
On any given day, an estimated 3,000 women and 2,500 children are living in an emergency shelter to escape domestic violence.
There are 450+ shelters from coast to coast — but funding is always an obstacle. Your real estate transaction helps keep them open.
The Foundation supports violence prevention and teen healthy relationship programs through national partners including the Canadian Women's Foundation.

Royal LePage Shelter Foundation Award
Announced at the Royal LePage National Kick Off on January 31, 2025, this award recognizes Gaye and Mike Turner's sustained commitment to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation — through commission donations, local fundraising, and years of consistent support for the cause.
The formal presentation will take place at the Royal LePage National Leadership Conference in Mexico (April 2025) and the National Sales Conference in Nashville (September 2025).

Shelter Award for Team of the Year — East Coast
Royal LePage Turner Realty agents Roberta Primmer and Karen Pomeroy were selected as the 2018 Shelter Award recipients for Team of the Year on the East Coast — recognized for their extraordinary fundraising efforts and community engagement on behalf of the Foundation.
Roberta and Karen are known locally for hosting creative and impactful fundraising events — including a celebrated Masquerade Ball — that brought the community together in support of women and children fleeing domestic violence.
